first: she is amazing
second: I haven't listened to a great amount of her albums so I have a question for those who have. I found the CD Knuckle Down to be pretty depressing (yet a wonderful collection of music) are all her albulms like that or do some have a happier overtone?
I havent heard anything by her but I'm in the process of getting her album, Out of Range right now... I'll report back :)

My brother recommended her to me, but I have yet to listen to any of her albums... even though he sent me almost all of them.
Give me a week so I have time to study for finals!

psh, finals, music is so much better than them.

Nice to see Ani di Franco mentioned so early in the threads on the Acoustic forum. I'm a fan of everything I've heard of her material, although I must admit that is not a hell of a lot. I have a few bootlegs of some shows of her's from oevr the years (unfortunately no albums at this stage but they are hard to come by where I live) and it seems to me she puts a hell of a lot of heart into what she performs.
If anyone can suggest which studio would be a good start for her recorded works that would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I love Ani. I've seen her live, and it was one of the greatest shows I have EVER seen. She's a total ham, and she's hilarious to boot. :) Also an EXTREMELY talented guitarist with a 'classic' folk voice. ;)
If you want to check out some live stuff, I'd suggest Living in Clip...it's older but great IMO.

to a certain extent... but not much past that ha
I was just reading her biography on wikipedia and it turns out shes from the town that I go to school to (Buffalo, New York) and her record-label's headquarters are here too.
