Who? Chiodos, Yesterday's Rising, Kane Hodder, Amber Pacific, and Mozart Season.
Where? The Boardwalk in Orangevale, CA
This is probably one of the better shows I have ever been to. Mozart Season (a local band from Rocklin, CA) opened up and performed nothing less then spectacular. I've seen their previous shows -- they were some good fun, but on Saturday night they were great. During some of their performance the lead singer was hanging from the ceiling and being held up by the mosh/crowd while still singing. It was a scene to see.
Next up, Kane Hodder, never seen these guys live before so I can't really compare their set to anything I've seen of theirs before. They kept the tempo and got the crowd going. Though most of their performance there were a few drunken guys dancing which lead to a breakout of fights, but the big bad security stepped up and stopped that before it happened. Hodder was good, but don't take my word for it. I love these guys and always will. So, my review of their performance might be a bit biased.
Amber Pacific, not entirely the biggest fan of theirs, but I have to give them props. Being a genre of another compared to the other bands, they put on a great show and had a great fan base in the crowd.
Yesterday's Rising was nothing short of amazing. Anyone who was there knows what the hype is about.
Lastly, Chiodos took the stage. And let me tell you, after watching them live I was in awe (on the way home). Their set was just WOW. And I will leave it at that and let your imagination run wild.
I know there were alot of kids from Yuba City (my hometown) that were there. So, anyone agree / disagree with me?
