View Full Version : Ween
Alright, who in here listens to Ween?
If you havent heard of them, don't check them out. You will hate them.
They have the strangest style I have ever heard, the funniest songs, but some of the best too. Some like to relate them to Weird Al, but not me, Weird Al is for little kids, and Ween is WA's older brother with more style.
When they're not doing funny songs, they make truly amazing music, the emotions they can capture are amazing.
If you'd like to give em a shot, check out their albums Quebec or Chocolate and Cheese, they have some of the most normal songs on them, and its all generally amazing
Those who are easily offended: stay away from Ween :P

I forgot to mention, not too long ago I got to see Ween in concert, it was truly one of the best concerts I've ever been too
they sure are crowd pleasers

I had the pleasure of seeing Ween with the Flaming Lips in the Ampitheater in Colorado. It was, as JW said, one of the best concerts ever.
You may not like them at first, but they grow on you like an incurable Fungus.

Haha like a fungus indeed man
It only took one or two of their songs to get me hooked - first you start with the more normal ones and then all of the sudden you're singing, "I'm in the mood to move my body like a weasel god dammit" </ween reference>

All I've heard of them is some single about daisies which I thought was terrible and a live cover of "Riders on the Storm" which was fantastic.
They seem like very good musicians so I shall look further.

Yeah I know what songs you're talking about - if you like their Riders on the Storm cover try to find their cover of Echoes by Pink Floyd (or contact me ;))

I was singing You Fucked Up today to random people at school, and thoroughly enjoying the looks I was receiving.

How can you say not to check them out, then say their concert was the best you've been to! You are killing me, now I've gotta go check them out, I'll have to do it later though.

well, they're definitely a band you have to take with a grain of salt and maybe a tylenol sometimes... you can check out their more normal albums like Chocolate and Cheese, and Quebec, but if you get more in to the and chek out some older stuff, things start getting really weird (in a goood way in my opinion, but I'm sure a lot of others wouldn't agree with me)
