Ad Ops Manager

Description:


CrowdGather is seeking a self-motivated, collaborative and analytical Ad Ops Manager to take the lead on our ad operations. We run a massive network of forums and social communities with a wide variety of advertising campaigns. As Ad Ops Manager, you will interact daily with executive management and will have a direct impact on improving revenue for the company. You will be responsible for all aspects of digital ad campaign management and will have proven experience with ad trafficking, reporting, and creative troubleshooting.

Primary Responsibilities
:

  • Schedule and launch display, video and mobile advertising campaigns in a timely and accurate manner, using DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) and other ad serving platforms
  • Assist with ongoing quality assurance support to proactively resolve issues around discrepancies, tracking, technical issues, etc.
  • Optimize DFP setup including passback and network structure to maximize revenues
  • Modify HTML and 3rd party tags to ensure ad server compatibility; test and verify tags
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Community Management and Engineering teams to ensure best possible campaign execution
  • Work to identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Exhibit an understanding of traffic and performance
  • Thoroughly test and QA all ads prior to launch
  • Implement all running direct sale campaigns ensuring execution according to IO’s
  • Perform daily reporting and analytics to measure ad performance and isolate areas for improvement and optimization


Requirements


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in online ad operations in an ad trafficker or ad manager role
  • Must be a DFP expert, including experience with multiple sites, standard and price priority and various ad units
  • Must understand how to effective setup and run campaigns on display, tablet and mobile devices
  • Must understand how to deploy multiple ad types including video, interstitials and rich media
  • Experience communicating with advertising networks, SSPs and other third parties
  • Proficient in Excel; Knowledge in HTML, JavaScript, and JIRA
  • Extensive knowledge of online ad technology including third-party servers, Exchange/RTB platforms, DSP functionality, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify and prioritize critical issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make recommendations to internal teams
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills

Senior PHP Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a senior PHP engineer to dive in and help us build new products for millions of online users worldwide. You will be leading the way forward on multiple projects, including the scaling and improvement of our software platform, and will help us address new challenges, such as our increasing mobile traffic. You will also be providing critical guidance and technical leadership for the monetization of our entire network of forums, including a content filter for brand safe advertising and native formats to help expand our product offerings to advertisers.

You must be someone who loves to take on big challenges and thrives on creating simple solutions to complex problems. To excel as a team member of CrowdGather, you must also be highly enthusiastic, a motivated self-starter and embrace an intense, exciting, hard working environment.

Skills:

  • 5+ years of practical, working experience on LAMP
  • 5+ years of experience with MySQL, including complex SQL statements and DB schema design
  • Exposure to high-performance and large-scale computing challenges
  • Knowledge of AJAX/JavaScript/CSS/HTML
  • Experience with AngularJS/Backbone frameworks desirable
  • Familiarity with Responsive design grid system a plus
  • Knowledge of design, coding and testing patterns of web applications
  • Understanding of project management tools (JIRA) and version control (Git) is a bonus
  • Stellar problem solving and coding skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform as a team lead within an engineering group

Systems Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a systems engineer who is an expert at managing end-to-end IT functions including servers, networks, desktops, applications and databases. This critical position provides great visibility and individual growth potential for an ambitious IT professional, but also requires proven experience with exponential growth on a global scale. To thrive as a team member of CrowdGather, you must be highly enthusiastic, a motivated self-starter and embrace an intense, exciting, work-hard/play-hard environment.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems hardware and software. This individual will install all new hardware, systems and software for networks, as well as configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices. This individual will also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for MySQL installations and upgrades, web farm upgrades, implementation of system administration and monitoring tools
  • Research and resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of our software applications to ensure negligible impact on both client and internal operations
  • Maintain uninterrupted production systems and 99.9% application and system uptime
  • Continually improve and optimize overall system performance
  • Remain on-call for emergencies involving network operations
  • Assist in implementing disaster recovery and system failover efforts
  • Daily production support, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis
  • Implement and maintain information security policies and procedures
  • Participate in meetings and provide technical assistance and interpretation to Executive Staff on issues affecting company-wide computer hardware, software, and systems needs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Linux administration experience (Preferably CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
  • Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (EC2/EBS/S3/SES/Route53/ELB)
  • Advanced knowledge of configuring and optimizing Apache, Nginx and Memcached services
  • Extensive knowledge of configuring and optimizing MySQL and MySQL Replication
  • Experience with nagios, monyog and observium monitoring tools
  • Experience with Citrix Xenserver Virtualization
  • Knowledge of Dell Equallogic Storage Area Network arrays
  • Experience managing Foundry and Juniper networking gear via CLI
  • Experience managing large server clusters in high volume environments
  • Experience with scalable networks and Load Balanced environments
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, vlans, NAT and routing
  • Scripting in at least one language other than BASH, (eg. Perl, PHP, Python)
  • Stellar problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Self-reliant, result-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • On-call 365/24/7
